Do you complain? Sure everyone does but to what extent. Do you know that complaining can hamper your quest for success? Yes, it can. Complaining does not bring anyone any benefit and neither does it make you successful. So quit complaining.

When you complain, you are only wasting your time channeling your energy to negative thoughts. Everyone faces obstacles in life, some may seem harder but having a positive frame of mind you will be able to overcome the obstacles effortlessly.

To complain is to stop and scream for attention whereas Success is to move on forward. Try to turn every obstacle into a chance to move forward and each step of the way you will be more successful. To complain once or twice is a norm but to go on and on is just like feeding fuel to a fire making the flame too big to be controlled.

    I understand your point.I think to complain and to bring up an issue are two different things. What you may have done is to lodge a complaint, but in my context it refers to complaining the coffee is too hot, complaining the floor is too dirty...i hope you catch my drift :)

    DDave I admire your posting and your balanced response to the comments.

    Life isn't always great. When it isn't we have to accept it and move on. That way the route to the next positive moment is shorter.

    At such times, I always find Kipling's words come to mind:

    If you can make one heap of all your winnings
    And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
    And lose, and start again at your beginnings
    And never breathe a word about your loss;

    Thanks for the reminder DDave!

    PS - "If" is (of course) one of the poems featured on Classic Poetry Aloud.

    Great post! I do tend to head towards the non-complainer for anything before the one that complains so that in mind. This could affect many aspects of a life and maybe you will have a tougher life and more to complain about just by complaining.

    "When you complain, you are only wasting your time channeling your energy to negative thoughts."

    I have to agree - It's not that I don't complain BUT when I do complain, voice negativities, they seem to take on a (negative)life of their own.

    Sometimes I've been stuck into a thought, opened my mouth and think veenting will make me feel better but instead I feel dragged down and glum.

    It's that river of negative energy swirling around me.

    Most of my complaining is silent - internal thoughts but then I still have to turn those thoughts around to positive and light to keep myself optimistic.

    Great post.
